The "Dephi" Demons was Founded

The teacher who started it all is Mr. Klemn. He taught wood shop, metal shop, and drafting at Rogers High School. Our original main sponser was Dephi located in Wyoming, MI and what is now a GM plant. Dephi donated space, tools, money and mentors to the team. Allowing us to kick off with loads of help. Hense why we had the orignial name "Dephi Demons". This program was avaible for both Wyoming high schools (Rogers High School and Wyoming Park High School).

Zone Zeal

This was our rookie year. Zone Zeal was a game based on trailers and balls. The objective was placing balls in the mobile goals, then moving the goal into the appropriate zone.

Stack Attach

This game requires robots to collect and stack plastic storage containers on their side of the playing field. The location of the robots and containers and theheight of the stacks atthe end of the match determineeach team’s score for the round.

FIRST Frenzy: Rasing the Bar

Robots need to collect and pass 13” balls to the human player to then shoot them into fixed and moveable goals. There are three 30” balls on the playing field that can be placed on top of any goal by a robot, which will double the point value in the goal. Additionally, robots may attempt to “hang’ from a 10’ bar.

Triple Play

The game is played on a 27' wide by 52' long-playing field with the 9 goals configuredin 3 x 3 matrix, similar to tic-tac-toe. Therobots will attempt to place the red andblue game tetras in or on one or more ofthe nine goals to scorepoints and “claimownership” of the goals.

2005

Aim High

Robots where designed to launch balls into goals while human players enter balls into play and score points by throwing/pushing balls into corner goals. Extra points are scored by robots racing back to their end zones and climbing the ramp to the platform before the end of the 2 minute and 10 second match.

2006

Rack n' Roll

Robots need to hang inflated colored tubes on pegs configured in rows and columns on a 10-foot high center “rack” structure. Extra points are scored by robots being in their home zone and lifted more than 4” off the floor by another robot before the end of the 2 minute and 15 second match.

2007

FIRST Overdrive

Robots had to race around a track knocking down 40" inflated Trackballs and moving them around the track, passing them either over or under a 6'6" overpass. Extra points are scored by robots positioning the Trackballs back on the overpass before the end of the 2 minute and 15 second match.

2008

Lunacy

Robots are designed to pick up 9" game balls and score them in trailers hitched to their opponents’ robots for points during a 2 minute and 15 second match. Additional points are awarded for scoring a special game ball, the Super Cell, in the opponents' trailers during the last 20 seconds of the match. “LUNACY” is played on a low-friction floor, which means teams must contend with the laws of physics.

Breakaway

Two alliances of three teams compete on a 27-by-54-foot field with bumps, attempting to earn points by collecting soccer ballsin goals. Additional bonus points are earned for each robot suspended in air and not touching the field at the end of the match.

2010

Logo Motion

Robots attempt to earn points by hanging as many triangle, circle, and square logo pieces as possible. Bonus points are earned for each robot that can hang and assemble logo pieces to form the FIRST logo. Robots can also deploy Mini-Bots to climb vertical poles for a chance to earn additional points.

2012

Rebound Rumble

Robots are designed to score as many basketballs in the hoops as possible during the two-minute and 15-second match. Balls scored in higher hoops score Alliances more points. Alliances are awarded bonus points if they are balanced on bridges at the end of the match. In matches where opponent Alliances work together to balance on the white “Coopertition®” bridge, all participating teams earn additional valuable seeding points.

Wyoming High School

Demons Robotics has always been a wyoming public schools program. This was the year that two high schools (Rogers High School and Wyoming Park High School) became one high shool.

2013

Ultimate Ascent

Drivers control robots and try to maximize their alliance score by scoring as many goals as possible with discs.
The match ends with robots attempting to climb up pyramids located near the middle of the field. Each robot earns points based on how high it climbs.

Aerial Assist

Once all balls in autonomous are scored, only one ball is re-entered in to play, and the Alliances must cycle a single ball as many times as possible for the remainder of the match. With the single ball, they try to maximize their points earned by throwing balls over the truss, catching balls launched over the truss, and scoring in the high and low goals on the far side of the field. Alliances receive large bonuses for “assists,” which are earned for each robot that has possession of the ball in a zone as the ball moves down the field. Points are awarded for each action per the table below.

Recycle Rush

Teams on an Alliance work together to place as many totes on their white scoring platforms as possible. Alliances earn additional points for recycling containers placed on the scored totes, with containers at greater height earning more points.
Alliances also earn points for disposing of their litter in their Landfill Zone near the center of the field, or placing litter in or on scored recycling containers. Alliances that leave litter unprocessed on their side of the field at the end of the match, not in scoring position, will add points to the score of the other Alliance

FIRST Stronghold

Robots where required to take over defences by overtaking each defence 3 times. Every team also needed to score points by launching boulders into the castle tower. For the end-game every robot needs to conquer the castle tower by either climbing it or parking at the bottom. The alliance with the highes score wins.

FIRST Steamworks

Robots collect fuel represented by green balls. They score it in high and low goals in their boiler. As fuel is scored steam pressure in the tank on the alliance’s airship builds – the high goal builds pressure faster than the low goal.
Robots retrieve and deliver gears to pilots on their airship who then install them on the appropriate rotor. Once a gear train is complete the rotor can be started.
When ready the robots to climb aboard their airships so they can assist the pilots during the race.

FIRST Power Up

Robots where designed to handle a cube and dispense the cube on to either a "Scale" (Tall Goal), "Switch" (Short Goal) or to the "Alliance Vault" (Floor Goal by the alliance stations). An alliance had the choice to use power-ups with the cubes giving an advantage. At the end you had to park or climb the scale to face the boss.

Destination: Deep Space Presented by Boeing

In this game, robots start in a sand-storm (Blocked view of the field) navigating the robot by camera or autonomous. When done, the blinds are removed. To score robots had to place hatch panels on the cargo ships to keep the cargo pods in. At the end, the robots needed to climb or park on the alliance’s 3 level habitat.

Infinite Recharge

The Infinite Recharge game involves two alliances of three teams each, with each team controlling a robot and performing specific tasks on a field to score points. The game centers around a futuristic city theme involving two alliances consisting of three teams each competing to perform various tasks, including shooting foam balls known as Power Cells into high and low goals to activate a Shield Generator, manipulating a Control Panel to activate this shield, and returning to the Shield Generator to park or climb at the end of the match. The objective is to energize and activate the shield before the match ends and asteroids strike FIRST City, a futuristic city modeled after Star Wars.

Rapid React
Presented by Boeing

Rapid React is played by two alliances of three teams each, with each team controlling a robot and completing specific actions in order to score points. The game revolves around both alliances shooting inflatable balls known as Cargo into a central Hub and climbing within their Hangars at the end of the match. The overall objective of each match is to score more points than the opposing alliance before the match ends.

CHARGED UP SM
Presented by Haas

CHARGED UP has two Communities, one for each alliance, where robots start and can score game pieces. Game pieces include Cones and Cubes. There are Alliance Stations for each team, along with Loading Zones for human players to introduce game pieces. Scoring involves placing game pieces on Nodes within Grids, with extra points for creating Links and Supercharge points. Charging Stations, resembling bridges, can be balanced on by robots to earn points during autonomous and teleoperated periods. Docking and Engagement with these stations also contribute to scoring, and alliances can earn Activation Bonus points by scoring Charging Station points.
